Production/Sales Operations Coordinator

SUMMARY


This position, under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, oversees both the production and sales of SKJ. This includes, but is not limited to the following: 

jewelry production, quality control, inventory, production audit, sales audits, communicating with team members and suppliers and studio upkeep.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 3+ years of experience in a jewelry production and/or sales environment
  • Proficient in Google Suite, advanced computer skills
  • Understanding of SKJ brand and products
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Reliable at meeting deadlines
  • Exemplary self-management skills
  • Excellent communications skills in English
  • Punctuality 
  • Professional attitude and demeanor

Studio


Quality Control

  • Pre-Outsource QC
  • Outsource QC
  • Final QC

Production

Initial work assigning (route to casting cleaning/assembly/pearl glue with due dates for setter and polisher)

  • Assist Operations Manager with preparing for new collections, discontinued styles
  • Repair/return inspection
  • Production audit, make sure orders are on track for due date, communicate with the sales team any delay and issues
  • Communicate with vendors/suppliers as needed 
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, workflow, etc. and work with Operations Manager to implement
  • Support studio assistant 
    • Raw materials inventory
    • Updating production book
  • Prepare quotes for special orders as needed
  • Create new Studio inventory Sheet quarterly, have weekly audit, update/clean up when necessary

Other

  • Record monthly studio metrics and analyze data
  • Order supplies for studio and send tools for repair when needed
  • Review and approve invoices to be paid

Sales

  • Stock and Sample Set inventory including create new sales inventory sheet quarterly, have weekly audit, update/clean up when necessary
  • Identify stock/sample set pieces that need cleaning/refinishing/repair and place orders to studio
  • Assess stock levels and place orders to studio when needed
  • Forecast holiday stock needed and place orders to studio in advance
  • Shopify orders audit
  • Create monthly itemized sales report

Please note that while we are currently hiring a coordinator, we would like to eventually be able to promote this person to a Production Management role with duties including (but not limited to) managing the studio team members, hiring and performance reviews.
